The Power of Speech

Speech is a great gift of gab for human beings. It is a powerful source of expression, communication and gaining knowledge. But we take this capability for granted sometimes. We use speech very abruptly without knowing its outcomes.

Our speech consists of Our selection of words, tones and behaviour. Brutal words , harsh behaviour and bitter tones can ruin someone physically and psychologically. They can destroy characters and personalities. They can cause lifelong pain and mental trauma. In short, they can make or break anyone or any bond.

Our speech is a trait of our personality. It shows our attitude towards life. It determines our communication skill. It shows whether we are ardent or absurd, aggressive or sympathetic and candid or callous. It determines whether we have a positive persona or negative.

Our positive and kind words can bring joy and peace to us and to others. They can motivate  others to achieve greatness. They can help us develop healthy relationships at home and office as communication skill is the basic necessity to any activity. Our pleasant words can heal the broken hearts and nourish our souls.

Our negative and harsh words can cause great havoc to us and to others. They can discourage others and destroy their talent and self esteem. They can create conflicts and destroy our relationships. They keep us and others restless. I know sometimes we need to be a bit hard to get the better results but still we should not damage anyone’s self respect.

We should be vigorous and circumspect in the selection of our words because they have great power and energy. We shouldn’t let our words be scars on the face of humanity. We need to be humble, kind and sympathetic. We should use positive words, soft tones and polite behaviour to be a good human beings. We should motivate others to be positive in life and spread positivity. We should bring peace and joy to others because this is the only way we can have the  peace of mind and happiness.
