The trade of wars
Haunting with the scars
Striking unprecedented pain
Dignity difficult to regain
Pride put to drain
Leaving the remaining to sustain
The tragedy of disdain.

Sad reality after the wars. Good to see you after long Haroon. How are you doing?

I wish I had written this myself, but you have done the best job of it Haroon. I share your perception of war. What you write here has always been my stance about war. “Dignity difficult to regain, pride put to drain, leaving the remaining to sustain the tragedy of disdain.”
I can honestly say, very strongly written and well done!

Haroon, I have always found war to be a waste, not only of dead and wounded soldiers and civilians but of the life’s work of many people destroyed. Human beings should build, not destroy.
Your poem is well-written and inspiring. Take care. Cheryl
