Yes… self esteem and self respect when alive and whole gives us the will to live, the power to move forward and courage to present ourselves unashamedly. When broken and lifeless the opposite is true. One feels shame, there is no motivation or courage to live a life once imagined. But the ‘yes’ in one’s heart can lie dormant for a season and then by being ‘watered and fed’ it can grow again into a sturdy tree. Maybe I am only stating the obvious.
Very true.
